DaliCMS now has built-in support for spam checking of user-generated content using mollom.

Mollom is an online service that allows content to be checked on spam. It also contains a captcha service to verify that a real person is entering content in case of doubt.

Adding mollom support for dalicms forums, blogs, etc is easy. It is explained in our developer documentation at dalicms.dev.java.net
Once configured, most of the spam will be blocked automatically. The messages that still slip through (where mollom indicated a status of 'unsure') are viewable in an easy moderation list, where they can be approved or deleted.
